Keyboard shortcuts - Perform common Firefox tasks quickly

This is a list of keyboard shortcuts in Mozilla Firefox. If you have enabled Emacs-style text editing shortcuts in GNOME, they will also work in Firefox. When an Emacs text editing shortcut conflicts with the default shortcuts (as occurs with Ctrl+K), the Emacs shortcut will take preference if focus is inside a text box (which would include the location bar and search bar). In such cases you should use the alternate keyboard shortcut if one is listed below.

how to Download Streaming Video in ubuntu 10.10 /10.04LTS /11.10/ 12.10 and lower version

Download Streaming Video ( for NEW FLASH version)

It is simple.. :)

For Chromium Browser:

Go to Folder

home -> YOUR_HOME_NAME -> .cache -> chromium -> Default -> Cache

Inside cache Folder you can find it.

Note: '.cache' folder is hidden folder. so press 'ctrl+h'  to make it visible.



For Firefox Browser:

Use 'DownloadHelper' Add on

or

Use 'Download Youtube Videos +'

Both can download Streaming Videos

Enjoy :) :)

No need to add any add-on or no need to install any Software to download a streaming video in Ubuntu. :-)
1. Open the site and Play the Movie or Video
2. Play the video. Wait till the video or Movie get Streamed fully.
3. After it streamed, DO NOT close the TAB in the browser.
4. Now Open, 'File System -> tmp'. there you can see the streamed file.
5. Copy it and Paste it Wherever you want. That's it. :-)

How to install / add new fonts for tamil/ english fonts in ubuntu /windows


Download fonts from free websites for tamil fonts for windows( 8/ 7/ xp/ 2000)/ linux (debian/ ubuntu/ fedora)
Ubuntu version 12.10 and lower version of ubuntu fonts download websites



exclusive for additional packages in built in Ubuntu


Installation Instructions :

  • Click on the Download Button 
  • Unzip the file
  • Double click Setup.exe to start installation
  • After installing, please follow the process for enabling Indian languages on Windows 2000 and above as given below in the Settings section.
Note : These fonts will work best with Windows XP and Office 2003




Usage Instructions (Keyboard Driver) :

  • Set the Locale to Tamil (small icon with "TA" should appear in the right hand side of the Taskbar)
  • Start the Keyboard driver by clicking on 
    • Start->Program files->Tamil Unicode Keyboard Driver ->ShreeKbd.exe.
  • A small blue-yellow icon will appear near the TA icon in the task bar.
  • Right click this icon to choose the keyboard layout.


System Requirement

  • Processor: Intel Celeron onwards
  • Windows (NT/2000 Onwards):


Settings

  • Win2000:
    • Go to "Control Panel" and click on "Regional Options" 
    • Click "General" tab and from Language Settings for System window check on "Indic" 
    • It will ask for Win2000 CD. Installation will happen. Reboot the system 
    • Now again go to Regional Option and click on "Input Locales" tab 
    • Add the languages in which you want to type. 
    • A small "EN" will appear in the system tray. Left click on "EN" and choose the language to type. 
  • Win XP:
    • Go to "Control Panel" and then click "Regional and Language Options" 
    • Click on "Languages" tab and check on the box which says "Install Files for complex scripts". 
    • This method will ask for Win XP CD. Put the CD in the CD drive and let the installation begin. 
    • Once the installation is complete boot the system if required and again goto 2nd step. 
    • Now click "Details" tab. Click on "Add" to add the languages of your choice. 
    • A small "EN" will appear in the system tray. Left click on "EN" and choose the language to type. 
    • Open fonts folder
